Program
  Asian Scholarship Foundation provides grant to scholars, researchers and professional to do research in the field of Arts, Culture, Humanities or Social Science in Asia. It is initiated by Asian Scholarship Foundation with the grants provided by Ford Foundation.

Criteria
  A candidate should be a citizen of Myanmar, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

A candidate should not be more than the age of 45.

A candidate who possessed only first degree must have at least three year of teacher/research experience or equivalent experience as determined by ASF.

A candidate should not use the fund for completing his/her degree if selected.

A candidate has to appear in person for interview

A candidate can not apply the grant to conduct research in his/her own country. Research should be conducted in other countries approved by ASF.
